One of the things FleetPanda built is that every day we upload the pricing from our supplier. We gather most of that on DTN. We have a handful of suppliers that aren’t on DTN, but suffice to say, in all the markets we’re in, the price we’ve been quoted and expect to pay gets uploaded into FleetPanda.
It already stores the margin on every customer, and it stores the delivery fee. By the way, you can set it so that no delivery fee applies under a certain gallons threshold—that’s all automated. We put that threshold in, and if it applies, then it creates a sales order for us.
Once the verification stage is over, which for us is typically by 11 a.m., the system creates sales orders in our back-office system. That sync creates sales orders, so our billers are just converting sales orders into invoices. Those sales orders already have the product, customer, ship-to information, asset, quantity, and pricing. It’s all on there.
It has really automated our billing process, improved our accuracy significantly, and streamlined our operations. Also, our customers can get an automated email of the delivery ticket straight from the system.
It happens every time without fail, no matter how many email addresses you tell it to send that delivery ticket to—it sends it.
